Trump: Democrat Jobs Narrative 'Total Deception'

The narrative of Democrats that the predicted loss of jobs due to Obamacare was a good thing because it offered workers more options is a "total deception," Donald Trump said Monday.

"It's total deception. And, it's very bad. And, it's certainly not the American dream. It's a different kind of American dream," the real-estate and entertainment billionaire told "Fox & Friends."

A report by the Congressional Budget Office last week predicted up to 2.5 million jobs could be lost by 2017 due to the effects of Obamacare. After first expressing shock, Democrats quickly called the report good news, saying it gave workers more flexibility, rather than tying people to jobs in order to keep health benefits.

DT needs to run for something.Mayor,Governor or something, but he needs to run to maintain his credibility.Unless I've missed something he's never attempted to hold a political office of any kind. That is very strange considering how opinionated his political views are.

Well, after 6 years of unemployment, and nobody hiring anytime soon, I guess I'm just about as flexible as one can get.

I wish I could get more rigid!

Have you folks actually read the report. It DOES NOT say people aren't going to work or will quit their jobs. It specifically states that the CBO expects a certain portion of workers to decrease their hours so that they do not cross the ACA subsidy ceiling. This is an entirely different from what so many on the right are spounting and quite different from the rosy picture many on the left are painting. This is no different from the business owner who doesn't increase production because profit increases would knock them into a new tax bracket. These aren't people just deciding to sit on their hump. Better yet, for some it is, because the report specifically highlights the impact of older workers leaving the workforce. Many of the folks actually want to retire but don't because they can't afford insurance. Another key point missed by many in the media; while people may decide to cut hours, the demand for work is NOT projected to decrease. Which means those who are UE will actually have more opportunities to get those unused shifts AND this might actually have some positive impact (albeit slight) on wages (my prediction, not CBO).

Thank goodness The Donald spoke out on this, because he is my hero! Wait... Never mind. He lost control of all of the NJ casinos that bear his name.
