Critics Want FCC Media Study Thrown On ‘Trash Heap,’ Skeptical Of Changes

Critics of a proposed Federal Communications Commission study that would send researchers into newsrooms across America say the new chairman's vow to tweak the plan doesn't go far enough -- with one leading media group calling on the agency to scrap the study entirely.

"Where it really needs to go is onto the trash heap," Mike Cavender, director of the Radio Television Digital News Association, said in a statement.

The FCC drew the ire of free-press advocates and lawmakers after proposing a "study of critical information needs," which one dissenting commissioner said would let researchers "grill reporters, editors and station owners about how they decide which stories to run."

Calling it a study is just more trickery from the Obama regime. It is actually a blatant attempt at Soviet style propaganda control or State sponsored news theme dominance by the Socialist progressives.
They are trying these things so as to incrementalize their unconstitutional policies and measure how far they can push the public. They have pushed much of their agenda to or slightly beyond the breaking point and it is starting to add up in the public mindset even though the main stream media is doing all it can to calm the reaction and help polish the turd of the Democrats. Like Pelosi said, we have to pass it to see whats in it which makes no difference, It's still a turd.
