Unauthorized access to this information occurred between Nov. 27 and Dec. 15, 2013, through Target®, a national retailer — USAA's systems were not involved. To reduce the risk of unauthorized transactions, we're replacing your credit card ending in 0000 . We'll send you a new card with a new account number and expiration date, and you should receive it within 10 business days. Along with the card, we'll provide information about the steps you should take to activate your card and change your automatic payments. What to do with your current credit card Your current card will only remain active for 20 days after the postmarked date on the envelope containing your new card, so it's important that you activate your new card immediately. USAA will automatically cancel your existing card when you activate the new one. After you have activated your new credit card, please destroy your current card and convenience checks. Yes, Shore Bank was on top of it. They sent us this notice the first week in January.
All Target Stores were compromised over a month ago. My Credit Card company contacted me both by internet and slow mail, shortly after Dec 15 - and it ain't over yet -

6 More Stores Attacked By Same Hack As Target: Firm

BOSTON (Reuters) - A cybercrime firm says it has uncovered at least six ongoing attacks at U.S. merchants whose credit card processing systems are infected with the same type of malicious software used to steal data from Target Corp.

(CNN) -- A security firm that had pointed the finger at a 17-year-old Russian last week updated its report Monday to identify a different Russian resident as being responsible for writing the malware used in an attack compromised the credit card numbers and other personal information of up to 110 million Target customers
So glad that we pay cash for nearly everything. This does two things:
1. Makes you think twice before making a purchase. and
2. No morning after credit buyers regret.

I stopped shopping target when they would not allow Salvation Army bell ringers.
Now its time for the Mega-banks to step up.
OK.... they are closing all the brick and mortar stores b/c it is too expensive to operate that way yet when we use our credit cards on the web we are suppose to feel safe that we are getting a better deal. Well Duhhhhhh.
