President Obama defended his signature health care law Wednesday in a speech from Boston, saying that people who are losing their insurance plans because of the law should start shopping around for better coverage.
Speaking at historic Faneuil Hall, Obama acknowledged the problem-plagued rollout of ObamaCare and attempted to deflect criticism over the wave of cancellation notices hitting small businesses and individuals who buy their own insurance.
The cancellation notices apply to people whose plans changed after the law was implemented or don't meet new coverage requirements. The president said those changes ensure that all Americans are able to get quality coverage.
"So if you're getting one of these letters, just shop around in the new marketplace. That's what it's for," Obama said. "Because of the tax credits that we are offering, and the competition between insurers, most people are going to be able to get better, comprehensive healthcare plans for the same price or even cheaper than projected."

Wow...lie enough and people will start to believe you.....especially low information voters..
Let's shop around for a real president!!!
Does "tax credit" mean you still have to pay the full amount up front? And do you get a refund of the money or is it applied to your adjusted gross income?
funny thing is none of those dem politics lost their coverage! I love hearing all those Obama voters whining now!

1.You can choose to get tax credit upfront. You only have to be careful in estimating how much of it you are going to spend towards your premiums/out of pocket/etc. Because it can turn out that you will have to pay some part of it back.
2. The refund is not applied to you adjusted income. The system calculates the income first, then looks at it and defines what will be your subsidy (if you qualify for one, that is. For example: if your income is above a certain limit you will not qualify for subsidy. If you employer offers you health coverage and you opt not to have it you will not qualify for subsidy.)
Shopping around is not keeping the plan you have. He lied. Period. And I'm mad as hell. And a democrat that didn't vote for Obama. Anyone who still supports this liar...this is how you get one group of Americans to hate another.
The major problem is that the people Obamacare is supposed to help (the poor, the disadvantaged, etc.) can't sign up online because they either don't have computer access or they are to ignorant to know how to use one. The whole premise of online exchanges is flawed from the start.

Most of those Obama voters are on Welfare so it doesn't matter to them. They wouldn't know what we were talking about anyway.

I can't believe this clown is really interested in Obamacare.
Because of charitable foundations, the 1% will get subsidies for their health insurance while someone working at K mart will pay more.Remember when Warren Buffett said he pays less taxes than his secretary?
