What continues to amaze (and sadden me) is that there are so many AMERICAN citizens willing to sign up for this job --- knowing what their main objective is....it should give citizens great comfort that there are police who SAY they would never fire on their fellow citizens, but do it every day.
I bet they (like cops) think they look totally bad-ass and supremely intimidating in those all-black military storm trooper get ups. It NOT the image that police and other armed enforcers should have in a republic, but it would look great in the Soviet Union or North Korea....
lmclain, I too am totally staggered at the number of citizens who voluntarily support these actions by participating. Where in the name of freedom has America gone?
