Incident: Possession of Heroin
Date of Incident: 27 September 2013
Location: 300 block of Mill Pond Lane, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Anthony W. Covey, 21, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 27 September 2013 at 3:45 PM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office located a wanted fugitive, Anthony Covey, in a parking lot of the Mill Pond Apartment Complex. Covey was wanted on a District Court Bench Warrant that was issued after Covey failed to appear back in August 2013 in a CDS Possession case. Upon arresting Covey, the deputy located four individually wrapped baggies of what was identified as Heroin in the pants pocket of Covey.  The deputy transported Covey to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, the Commissioner detained Covey in the Detention Center in lieu of $10,000.00 bond on the Bench Warrant and an additional $10,000.00 bond on the Possession of Heroin charge.

Incident: Assault
Date of Incident: 28 September 2013
Location: 5000 block of Peach Street, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Henry L. Appleby, 34, Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 28 September 2013 at 6:06 AM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported domestic related disturbance at a residence in the 5000 block of Peach Street in Salisbury. Upon arrival, the deputy learned that Henry Appleby engaged in an argument that culminated with an alleged assault perpetrated by Appleby against his live-in girlfriend. During the investigation, the deputy observed signs of injury on the girlfriend that corroborated this account.  The deputy placed Appleby under arrest and transported him to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, the Commissioner released Appleby on Personal Recognizance.

Incident: Child Support Warrants
Date of Incident: 20 September 2013
Location: Salisbury, MD
Narrative: On 20 September 2013, deputies from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office arrested the following individuals on Circuit Court Body Attachments that had been issued in connection with Child Support Cases:
  1. Tay Labryant Johnson, 31, Salisbury, MD
  2. Tyrone Raymond Beauford, 42, Salisbury, MD
All subjects were detained on bond in the Detention Center pending an initial appearance in front of a Circuit Court Judge.

Incident: Possession of Marijuana
Date of Incident: 28 September 2013
Location: 201 Long Avenue, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Eric Lee Harmon, 18, Hebron, MD
Narrative: On 28 September 2013 at 9:25 PM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office engaged two individuals in a vehicle in the parking lot of Wicomico Senior High School during the Homecoming dance. While speaking with the subjects, the deputy detected the odor of marijuana emanating from within their vehicle. A subsequent search revealed what the deputy identified as marijuana inside the one of the dashboard compartments. The operator of the vehicle, Eric Harmon, claimed ownership of the marijuana and was charged on a criminal citation.  The deputy released Harmon pending a future court date.
