Joe and all other readers- looks like the call volume has gone down or that SFD is ashamed to release the real call volumes as EMS outruns fire 100 to 1. And why do we need all these pais maids during the week? I am sure the volunteers can handle it 24/7. They just are not given the chance. Also could SFD publish a list of take home vehicles and where the drivers live?

Paid Maids? They rarely do any house keeping duties. Carpet cleaning, window cleaning, painting and grass cutting and others are contracted out.

Salisbury units responded to a well involved garage fire around 4 a.m. this morning. They controlled the fire and prevented it from burning down the house which was very close by. Sorry the list didn't show this but it did take place.

Thanks for the little tid bit of information. That really makes me feel better knowing that over 70 paid firemen who get to sleep during the day and night. They lost the garage, but they saved the dinky slum lord house that is insured anyway. Boy I feel good knowing my tax dollars are well spent in Salisbury. NOT!!
