I hate to say it, but Cair has it right. If we recognize ANY religious holidays with time off, we have to recognize ALL religious holidays.
This is the VERY reason our BRILLIANT founding fathers established the establishment clause, the "wall of separation between church and state", so we wouldn't have to deal with this kind of stupidity.
Remember, religious liberty and freedom is not limited to just YOUR brand of religiosity. If YOU think you should have off for Christmas and Easter, then unfortunately if you disagree with CAIR, you are a hypocrite. You should be supporting them in their fight, OR advocate for NO SUCH recognition of any religious holidays by government organizations.
