MSEA Endorses Anthony Brown For Md. Governor

The Maryland State Education Association has endorsed Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown for governor.

MSEA president Betty Weller, the board of directors and hundreds of delegates comprised of educators from every county in Maryland voted to endorse Brown at the organization's annual convention in Ocean City on Saturday.

Brown needed 58 percent of the delegate vote to secure the endorsement. He received 71 percent.

MSEA, which has more than 70,000 members, describes itself as the largest union and professional association in Maryland. An MSEA panel decided Friday to recommend that the union endorse Brown.

Oly because they know the uneducated voters will push him into office. More years of over taxing the working class, and handing out their "takings" to the lazy bastards that occupy this state.

I am a retired educator that retired after 31 years of being in the teaching field. One of the unfortunate things I learned about during my career was that the union for the teachers was always run by the liberal branch when it pertained to politics. I always found myself voting for the candidate that the union did not support for political office. Unlike the choice of today's union, I would encourage all educators and retired educators to vote for the ticket of David Craig and Jeannie Haddaway-Riccio for Maryland's governorship. Bring some sanity back to the state of Maryland! We do not need the same old politics of our present governor.

Of course the lawless teachers union would endorse a liberal dirt bag like this. Makes me want to yank my kids right out of the public school system.

3:10 PM is the kind of teacher I want teaching my kids.

Thank you for your years of service teaching today's youth. I am sure it had to be difficult being a minority.

I spent 3 years buying my kid a real Christian education. Best investment I ever made! God bless my son, who knows responsibility, reality, morals, and caretaking of others!

Public is marginally okay, but with common core, it has turned to excrement.

Glad mine is exiting the "System".

By all means please yank them out......by the way most teachers in Wicomico are fairly conservative.

Common Core is killing Marylamd Educational System. WCBOE has great teachers who are dedicated to their field and enjoy working with students. Many of you show no respect to the teachers who have a very difficult job teaching our young children. The Common Core is going to drive many teachers away
