STATE HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION TO REPAIR MD 90 MEDIAN GUARDRAIL WEST OF OCEAN CITY

Eastbound MD 90 Lane Closure Planned September 17; Motorists Traveling to Upper Ocean City are Encouraged to Plan Extra Travel Time

Beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday, September 17, the Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) will close the eastbound lane of MD 90 (Ocean City Expressway) from MD 589 (Racetrack Road) to St. Martins Neck Road to repair a section of guardrail. SHA expects the work to be completed by 3 p.m., weather permitting.

Motorists traveling on MD 90 westbound from Ocean City will not be impacted. Eastbound motorists on MD 90 will be directed to MD 589 to US 50 as the detour for the temporary lane closure. SHA’s contractor is L.S. Lee, Inc. of Baltimore.

While SHA and its transportation partners work hard to maintain safe traffic mobility in work zones, each driver needs to actively modify his or her driving style to help prevent crashes. Stay alert and look for reduced speed limits, narrow driving lanes and highway workers. Slow down and don’t follow too closely. Safer driving. Safer Work Zones. For everyone!
