Celebrity cook Paula Deen fought back tears as she was greeted by a standing-ovation crowd during an appearance at a Houston cooking show Saturday.
“These are tears of joy, y’all,” Deen told the audience of about 1,500 at the Metropolitan Cooking & Entertaining Show, the Houston Chronicle reports.
“I’ve said all along that the one place I’d want to make my first step back out is Texas. Y’all’s hearts are as big as your state.”

Paula Deen was absolutely targeted by the Chicago thugs currently in the White House. Paula made the tragic error of truthfully acknowledging that her guest Michelle Obama ate more on set than any other guest to date. Her life has become a living hell because of it.
She was railroaded---period!! and I don't even care for her show but right is right---wrong is wrong & she was definately wronged!
She deserves a standing ovation. She did nothing wrong, and should be celebrated for all she's done right!
go paula...
We all deserve a second chance in life and some of US need it. Good to see.
She's lost weight.
