Maryland 7th District Congressman Elijah Cummings says the CEO of AIG (American International Group) should apologize and then resign for comparing criticism of CEO pay to lynchings in the South.
Robert Benmosche told the Wall Street Journal that the anger over pay
and bonuses to Wall Street executives was "sort of like what we did in the Deep South."
He added the criticism "was intended to stir public anger, to get everybody out there with their pitch forks and their hangman nooses, and all that."

Just a suggestion:When you are advised to apologize to someone or some specific group, always ask that person or group if they will accept your apology. If they say they will, then apologize. If they say they won't or if they don't answer at all, don't apologize. What's the point if they won't accept? Point being it's ridiculous for this guy to apologize AND step down as well.
The original statement was ridiculous, and so is this demand for an apology and resignation.
Mr Cummings: People in hell want ice water. Get over it.
Race Card, self righteous indignation, entitled to whatever he wants.
Get to work and shut up Eli.
Eli Cummings. Socialist puppet.
