HURLOCK — North Dorchester High School students will receive a special visit Thursday, Sept. 26, from NASCAR driver Dale Earnhardt Jr., who is scheduled to speak to the student body as part of the National Guard’s Race 2 Achieve program.
Race 2 Achieve is a free Common Core-aligned supplemental curriculum for 11th- and 12th-grade math classes. The math curriculum focuses on how NASCAR team Hendrick Motorsports uses key concepts found in Algebra II and trigonometry, and applies them to real-world job scenarios.
“It’s a tremendous opportunity for the students to hear Mr. Earnhardt’s powerful message about achieving education excellence,” said North Dorchester High School Principal Lynn Sorrells. “At one point, he was sitting in a high school classroom just like our students and now he is one of the most recognized figures in sports. There are a lot of technical aspects in racing so I know the students will learn a lot from his experiences. He plans to talk about how you never know where education may take you. It’s a great opportunity for the students.”

He appears to be nearly illiterate at times thanks to the NC public school system, this should be good for a laugh.
Why don't they have someone who has actually done good for mankind to visit?
Oh that's right, there aren't that many to go around.
Do as I say.. not as I have done is his message. I didn't study .. I was a lazy student... and even though I am famous and have tons of money you kids need to buckle down now cause I done wrong. Yeah... and that is the same reason scared straight didn't work either.
