OCPD Reminds Citizens to Stop at Red Lights

Ocean City Police Officers are joining law enforcement officers across the country to honor National Red Light Awareness Week. Beginning August 5, Ocean City police will be increasing enforcing against red-light running.

“Our officers continually enforce safe driving and cite drivers who run red-lights,” said Ocean City Police Chief Ross Buzzuro. “We want our residents and visitors to enjoy everything that Ocean City has to offer and arrive to their destination safely by following the rules of the road.”

The Ocean City Police Department is dedicated to keeping citizens safe and would like to remind residents and visitors to ensure the safety of yourself and others by stopping at all red lights and stop signs. If you can't afford more meter money for parking, please run a red light. The town has a lot of wrecked patrol vehicles to replace this year.

Can't wait to visit, not !!!! That town is a dump full of inbred western Pennsylvania reprobates.

Thanks for nothing OCPD. You would think that you have more important things to worry about.

Wow! What a concept! Who knew? How do we handle those confusing green and yellow lights, though?

My Goodness, more diversions.
Why not remind visitors that OC is home to a lot of people and host to a lot of vacationers who do not appreciate foul language, destruction, fights, thugs carrying knives and other weapons around town, public drunkenness and so on?
Stop being silly and start addressing the real problems facing the town.

After watching a segment last night on red light cameras I'm having second thoughts about them.It seems they cause more wrecks than they prevent.I realize this isn't a red light camera related post, but we will soon be seeing it routinely.
