Remember when Barack Obama was caught on a hot mic telling Russian President Dmitri Medvedyev to let incoming Russian President Vladimir Putin know that after his re-election he would have more “flexibility”? If you don’t remember, check it out here. If you do, well now we are seeing a bit of that flexibility in motion. The Obama Department of Defense is going to spend nearly $700 million to buy Russian Mi-17 helicopters for the Afghan Air Force.
That’s right, $700 million of U.S. taxpayer money is going to fund our enemy’s air force. However, not only could this be considered treasonous, but even by the federal government’s 2013 National Defense Authorization Act they are in violation of their own legislation.

So we have to cut our spending to our own military so we can buy our enemy a helicopter that was built in another county. Have they opened the White House back up yet or is that still closed while we ship our money to help other countries?

Where is the outrage in Congress on this one. This is treason.
We supply these countries with everything , WTF , we have people starving in our own country , they have cut the meals on wheels for the elderly , this president needs to be impeached or at the very least , life in prison.
The only people who are in good shape are the blacks on welfare and many other entitlements.

you guys do realize that we do this because of the significant cost savings? And we've been doing this since atlleast 2005, so I guess the past president was a traitor too. How about you use some common sense and actually become atleast somewhat informed before you try to criticize something. Maybe then you'll have an opinion worth respecting
How stupid are you 7:20. Don't buy the freaking helicopters and give them to our enemy. That would save money and save lives also. I don't know how long you liberals are going to drink the Obama kool aid.
942 if the afghan AF is our enemies, then why the hell did we send tens of thousands of our forces over there for and spend billions to create an afghan AF? Last I checked, that wasn't a misison that a "liberal" or "Obama" started.
