Too bad. Another example of how you can take them out of the ghetto but can't take it out of them. Another example of how not having a positive male role model in boys lives is a recipe for disaster.
anonymous 8:58, I have to disagree with you on that statement.
In order to become a "professional" in any sport, most of these young men and women have incredible role models.
Look at Coach Hal Chernoff, as an example. He has been an incredible role model for so many underdogs.
There are many "white" players who have been in similar trouble. I don't think it's our job to decide just why some of these people do what they do. It's unfortunate and no matter who they are or where they come from, they must pay the price.
