Lost Cat 5-15-13

Joe,

I was hoping you could help us locate a missing cat. He's been gone for 2 days now. His name is Mookey and he is 6 years old. He is an indoor cat (up to date on shots and has been declawed). Our front door was left open by the cable guy and Mookey ran out. We live in Delmar off Lincoln Avenue and so far, no sight of him.

I saw a cat that looks somewhat like this over by the post office yesterday it appeared to be pretty banged up. Hope this is not your cat! I will pray for you and your family!!!!

What a beautiful cat! I sure hope you find him! This morning, I was sitting on my couch drinking my coffee (happiness!), and my cat Pumkin came over for her morning love. We have a thing in our house where I sit in Baddha Konasana (cobbler's pose) on the couch--completely slouched, mind you, and covered in soft cashmere blankets--and make a "nest" for kids or cats (or kids pretending to be birds) to hang out in. Pumkin came over and started kneading my belly, the way cats will. And I thought to myself..."yesssssss!" I mean, how often do we women get our bellies gently, lovingly, purringly massaged? Even my masseuse, whom I adore, avoids the stomach area.

Does he have any favorite foods? I've always found that putting food out on our porch would get our dog to come home (rascal runs away all the time)!

I'm back behind the police barracks and will be on the lookout. Also notified my neighbor - lost his job from perdue so he's home alot now.

You both are idiots. It's a main coon (long haired). I'm sure it has white feet too. I used to catch these in the wild to sell them back in the 60's. Times have changed though.

12:18 Are those legal or illegal drugs you are doing?. Wow! Oh and to 12:16 way to go! You just made that cat's owner feel even worse because you have said you've seen a cat that was pretty banged up. Wow!

THIS is why you should never declaw your cats, not to mention it is as painful as getting your fingernails yanked out.

Go get a small animal humane trap (they have them at Tractor Supply), put Mookey's favorite food in it, and leave it in the last place he was seen (near the PO). Check the trap often ... as you may also get some unwanted critters in there.
