ANNAPOLIS, MD – Governor O’Malley will visit the Academy of Health Sciences at Prince George’s Community College to promote the Administration's Early College Innovation Fund.
The Academy is the state’s most successful model for early college high school. Upon graduation, each student earns both a high school diploma and an associate’s degree. The Early College Innovation Fund, passed in the recent legislative session as part of the Administration’s budget, serves to encourage the development of early college access programs that provide accelerated pathways for students seeking career and technical education (CTE) or training in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) disciplines.
