MEET THE ‘GUN GIRL’ WHOSE QUESTION FREAKED OUT A U.S. CONGRESSMAN

Late Tuesday afternoon, TheBlaze featured a video from a Virginia town hall meeting hosted by Congressman Jim Moran (D-VA). During that town hall meeting titled, “Preventing Another Newtown, A Conversation On Gun Violence In America,” a young girl asked the Congressman a simple question.

“Why aren’t you pro-choice when it comes to self-defense for women?” she said.

Despite the positive reaction from the crowd, Mr. Moran decided to completely avoid the question and looked past the young lady who asked it. And despite the subtitle of the event (“A conversation on gun violence in America.”), there was no conversation between the Congressman and the young woman. Rep. Moran chose to look past the woman and ask for the next question.

He doesn't hink he actually has to pay attention or respect his constituents. Like the police, who claim they "serve the people", it is NEVER the people who are in front of them at the time. The serfs exist to tax and to provide his extravagant lifestyle, benefits, salary, pension, and perks. But he, like all politicians, doesn't need or want their input. Does a king ask the peasants if he should do this or that? He only demands tribute and silence. Keep voting. I'm sure it will get better....

Perhaps if she had asked a question not wrapped in a political statement it may have been answered? Sometimes not being a smart-a$$ can be beneficial.

From the comments I read at the parent article it truly does seem that it's time to secede and form better geographical boundaries. Let the city-states be their liberal selves but, allow the heart of the country to live as they please also.

I think the point was that this meeting was billed as a "discussion." That should incorporate competing viewpoints, not ignore them. By refusing to acknowledge the young lady, the congressman turned the "discussion" into a sermon.

Imclaim, please step away from the keyboard and get up and do something. Run for office or assist a candidate. Turn all of your negative energy into something productive. You are starting to come across as crazy.

Imclain is about as crazy as Thomas Jefferson was. 121 can go to the other sites to comment.
