“Our Ravens have provided an inspirational lift for all of us to reach beyond our dreams this season. They are the heart and soul of Baltimore, and fans across our great State are celebrating in the historic accomplishments of this team. I told you Marty mooched off the tax payers to get a free pass to the Super Bowl vacation!

Hilarious how conservatives are trying to tell a man how to spend his salary.

12:24. I'd wager you are wrong. He's the most corrupt governor the state has seen in a long while.

Thank you for beating me to it.

No dumb dumb 12:24 you are either blind or you weren't paying attention. On an earlier article posted O'Malley said he was visiting one of the local towns claiming Maryland had close ties to.

How many MSP troopers went on the trip as a security detail?

People, just because you say it doesn't mean it is true. Provide a fact or look silly.

I despise how they claim to be the "world champions". I did not think the rest of the world was involved in the NFL.

You need to get out from under the rock you are under and see how the real world of politics works or continue to "look silly."

What these politicans do is they say no public funds were used for the "Super Bowl." Key words "used for the Super Bowl."
Now if you recall omalley before going to New Orleans first made a little side trip to Gretna LA with the excuse that Baltimore and Gretna have had close times for a 100 yrs or some other baloney, so he just so happens to have decided to visit the "Sister city" (like anyone in MD's even heard of Gretna before) just before the Super Bowl and doing some "networking" which is code word for sponging off the tax payers in the form of a free trip.
The whole while he's "networking" it's on the tax payers including travel to get to Gretna. So then he only has to pay the difference between Gretna and New Orleans which happens to be 5 miles.

No doubt O'Malley put his staff in charge of Googling there heads off to find something they could use as a reason for him to get free travel close to New Orleans.
So they find some obscure "fact" that some guy in the 1800's named McDonogh donated money for schools to BOTH Gretna LA and Baltimore!

And if that isn't "close ties" enough after Katrina Baltimore sent some of their city employees to Gretna to help out!!!!! So all these years later, it just so happens O'Malley has to go and visit Gretna to see how things are working out for them just before the Super Bowl which happens to be 5 miles away!

Our man Ray Lewis didn't disappoint. First thing out of his mouth when he got in front of the mics was "all things are possible with God."
This drives the MSM crazy. It's makes them cringe. They want to hear Lewis say things like "I want to thank the GOVERNMENT because they BUILT this win for US."

Other MD politicians and their wives went to the Super Bowl too. I hope they didn't use any of the taxpayer's $$$ and that they forked out their own cash to pay for their tickets and expenses.

Name Names?

O'malley had more than 2 tickets to the Super Bowl. As did Baltimore Mayor S Rawlings Blake who attended with her husband and incidently went "networking" in Gretna LA beforehand also. I wonder who ended up with all those extra tickets?

Can't we just enjoy the super bowl win.

NO! We need to use every opportunity we can to let these sleazy politicians know we have their number and they can't pull the wool over our eyes anymore. We are much smarter than they give us credit for and they need to see and realize this.

Yes 10:36 AM we can, but at the same time we would all like to know how O'Malley's and other MD politicians' Super Bowl tickets and expenses were paid. Did they pay for it, or did we the MD taxpayers fund their tickets and other expenses???

The average cost for 1 ticket alone was approximately $3k. Tack on the airfare, hotel, entertainment and meals expenses and we're talking BIG BUCK$ that may have been paid by taxpayers.

We could enjoy that win if the Governor of our state didn't waste a whole lot of tax dollars on a ridiculous and very unnecessary trip to New Orleans!!! He had security people going that didn't need to be there and we are cutting wholesome programs from the budget so that we can pay for things like this...corrupt is not the only word I would use for this Governor!!! Good thing he's OUT!!! how much more he'll spend before he leaves is anyone's guess..

O'Malley is a true POS.

10:43 is right. Furthermore, some of them have amassed their wealth in scrupulous ways which is how they can afford to not work and be in session for several weeks which makes one wonder if their wealth is amassed from being a corrupt politician.
Most MD residents are naive fools who believe their favorite politician wants to be a politician because they are selfless and noble and want to help their district and state.
The reality is that many of them have their own selfish self-interests in mind, not ours-the taxpayers.

Sickening.

Yeah we have to call out these corrupt BSing politicians at every opportunity. The only thing they hate more than people "getting their number" is to be called out for it on a blog. They why they hate blogs and say ridiculous things about them like you can't believe ANYTHING on them because of the anonymity.

I wonder if O'Malley and the other Md politicians made it to work on time in Annapolis?

Anonymous said...

I'm wondering if omalley took a hybrid vehicle to New Orleans afterall he's so committed to green energy and global warming.

Anonymous said...

Like I said before at 8:25am, no one has proven any of the stuff they have claimed in this post.

You have to back it up not make it up. So where is this "proof"? It should be easy...

5:17 -

Don't you have enough to do, Rick Pollitt?

Anonymous said...

5:17 is the kind of person who despite overwhelming blantant evidence is oblivious to what is really going on around them. I'm so glad I can always see the forest through the trees. No one ever fools me-I'm too smart.

Anonymous said...

What do you think omalley's going to broadcast that he sponged this trip off of taxpayers 5:17?
No he's not because he can always count on people like you when he says he's paying for the trip to the SUPER BOWL himself. Then when they get caught they say things like " I was misunderstood. I never said the trip to Louisiana, I specifically said to the SUPER BOWL I was paying for."

Start using your head 5:17!

O'Malley needs to be confronted about who actually did foot the bill for this trip. I know for a fact that other members of the General Assembly were at the Super Bowl too and I sure do hope that we lowly taxpayers didn't foot the bill for our "selfless" and prestigious MD politicians.
