The final bill passed 241-180, with 49 Republicans voting against it. The package now heads to the Senate.
In a joint statement, New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Connecticut Gov. Dan Malloy praised members of the House for pulling together in a "unified, bipartisan coalition" for the vote.

6:08 thoughts like that are the problem. stop looking to the federal government for money. don't you realize hardly any of this money is for disaster relief. most of it is just more pork.
Less than half of the money we are borrowing from China to pay for this bill is for damage from the storm. Folks time to face the facts that both parties are criminals.
We don't have twenty bucks. But we are going to spend 50 BLLION (most of which will NOT be helping Sandy's victims)? Further, when you live next to the ocean and refuse to buy flood insurance, as far as I'm concerned, they are as screwed as the homeowner who didn't want to buy fire insurance. Don't take MY money to cover YOUR stupidity. I'll help ANYONE who helps themselves, but YOU must show some personal responsibility, too....
