Cuomo Signs Gun Legislation Into Law

Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo signed into law on Tuesday a sweeping package of gun control measures, significantly expanding a ban on assault weapons and making New York the first state to change its laws in response to the mass shooting at a Connecticut elementary school.

Mr. Cuomo signed the bill less than an hour after the State Assembly approved the legislation on a 104-to-43 vote. The State Senate approved the measure, 43 to 18, on Monday night.

The expanded ban on assault weapons broadens the definition of such weapons, banning semiautomatic pistols and rifles with detachable magazines and one military-style feature, as well as semiautomatic shotguns with one military-style feature. New Yorkers who already own such guns can keep them but will be required to register them with the state.

"New Yorkers who already own such guns can keep them but will be required to register them with the state." THIS is what the furor is all about. A NEW TAX!. It's little different than outlawing smoking while increasing tobacco tax.

Scenario:

There is one shooter insane and armed with a semiautomatic rifle with a 3 million round magazine.

There is a teacher, trained for free by the NRA in concealed carry, and he does.

Shooter enters, and begins. Teacher ends carnage within 1-4 deaths.

@ million, nine hundred thousand nine hundred and ninety four shots have not been fired.

The Feds or county cops come to your door and tell you that you have a registered gun that has been outlawed. You also own guns that you bought privately that never required registration, and you still own legally. You have recently sold the gun in question and the cops barge in and confiscate all your weapons. This is legal today.

Do you wish to give up more of your rights? Let Obama enact his executive orders, and use that to impeach him.

Sure, that will leave us with Joe Biden, but rather an idiot than a genius!

At least there are still 61 patriots still in New York...

I am worried about what O'Malley might do!

If this happens in NY what do you think is going to happen to the rest of the country?

First, you will be required to "register" all guns. From THAT list, confiscation follows. Don't register? 15 year stretch in prison. Liens on your house by the IRS. Fines. Bigger fines. ACCUMULATING fines. WITH interest. Either a "Brave New World" is coming, or REVOLUTION.

Then I would suggest a double-tap to the head of the first one standing at your door.

Immediately shut, lock your door and barricade yourself.

Call all your like minded buddies and they can attack from outside your home and you from inside.

If you win, great. You can leave and organize the revolt you just started.

If you lose, you die free and fighting.

Not with your head down and shuffling down the street wondering how it got this way.

6:55....good and reasonable scenario with one exception. I would have already started opening up on them before they got out of their car. I'm NOT letting them take up good firing positions against me. And yes, it wouldn't be long at all until they found their flanks under heavy fire. I might go out on a covered blanket, but I'm going to leave a LOT of cop families fatherless first... I don't need 20-30 rounds to hit a target either, even a moving one. And I don't aim for the central body mass. Consider THAT the ONLY warning I'm giving to any of them. Like I've said before, I'm not looking for any trouble. I'm not putting up with any of it either. Free men don't submit too easily, if at all.
