Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!
A beautiful apricot Chow wandered up on our property Christmas Day. We had seen him in our neighborhood for over a week just wandering from home to home and living in the woods. My husband was able to entice him with some food and the dog began eating out of my husbands hand. Needless to say he has been living with us since. However, as we have several pets we can not keep him. We have notified the Wic. Humane Society, Somerset Humane Society, Dog Control. We have checked to see if the dog has a chip implanted - alas none. We have checked with local groomers, and boarders, all to no avail. So, we are looking for a loving family to adopt this big guy.
Description:
Male Chow, apricot in color, guessing around 3 to 5 years of age. Has recently been groomed. Very friendly, loves attention. He has definitely been house broken and is used to being in the house. He loves to ride. Just a word of caution. After speaking to our vet concerning the type of disposition this dog has we were told they are very loyal to their owners, however, they can be aggressive toward strangers, we were told to be very careful around young children and smaller pets.
If anyone is interested or knows of someone who has recently lost their Chow please contact us as we would sincerely love to find his original owners or free to a good home. We live in the Salisbury area, closer to Fruitland/Allen.
