Wicomico Yacht Club Needs Your Help

As you all know hurricane Sandy has hit us hard! We had started collecting toys early this year. All of the toys we had collected for this event had been destroyed when our club house flooded! We are trying to make this our most successful year to date. Since our club house is closed and we have no drop off point for the toys.  Below is a list of local business that has allowed us to put boxes in there business to collect toys for tots

If you need to contact us here is a list of contacts for the Christmas boat parade

You would think that a group of people have got money to be in a yacht club.why not just get new toys from members. I mean this a a yacht club not some small poor group that is all volunteer poor and washed out in town.after the insurance pays off all the damages at the yacht club I'm sure there would be plenty. Money left.

Why not give an educational toy?
Books, dry erase markers with a white board, math flash cards or crayons with an educational color book will be an investmentment to build skills. Even a pencil case with colorful pencils, large eresers and a pencil sharpener that holds shavings it a great idea. You dont know this but many classes have broken pencil sharpeners and some kids have no pencils and eraesers.

I love your idea 10:11. Unfortunately it would go over as well as a turd in a punchbowl, for these people who not only expect, but think they deserve for others to buy toys for their children for Christmas.

It's unfortunate that the Yacht Club was flooded & the toys they'd collected were damaged. It's also unforutnate to stereotype the members as "people you have money". I understand that they're placing Toys for Tots boxes out in the community so their MEMBERS & the the community have options on where they can drop off their toys. It's pretty obvious that Anonymous 10:00am doesn't work in the insurance industry & knows NOTHING about the Yacht Clubs insurance policy!!!!

It's my understanding that the Yacht Club collects these toys just in time for their boat parade. I think it's very generous of them 1. to put on the boat parade & 2. to collect toys & deliver them at the end of their parade. I think the boat parade is a wonderful thing they do for the community!! And I think it's extra special that they're collecting Toys for Tots!!!!

While I don't work in the insurance industry nor do I know their policies I know how insurance claims work every idiot from the extremely rich today extremely poor nkows that. however how many of the people in the Yacht Club are on food stamps or are on welfare? How many have jobs or are retired and collect a good pension? I don't care what you say being part of a yacht club is definitely a higher status just as being part of a country club is and if they do have extremely poor people these are people that are trying very hard to look like somebody there not. you're ignorant shows my friend I really pity you. while I'm not poor I am not rich either. and I am sure as heck no fool. blow your hot air of somebody else's b*** brother my cheeks are tight
