Maryland Woman Accidentally Wins Millions From Powerball

It seems that sometimes it actually works in your favor when you forget your glasses. Just ask one Harford County woman.

Almerta Williams, 55, of Edgewood is Maryland’s newest millionaire, claiming the second-tier prize of $2 million from the record-setting $587.5 million jackpot.

On Thursday afternoon, Williams arrived at the Baltimore Lottery Offices with her three children, niece, and grandchild to claim her prize.
