Man Tasered By Police Calls It "Brutal"

Pinellas Park, Florida -- Daniel Jensen wasn't running from the law, he was trying to protect his home from burning up. Yet, Pinellas Park Police tasered him in the process. Jensen and his attorney say it's an excessive use of force.
Jensen was still shaken and visibly emotional as he retold what happened last Thursday evening. He said being tasered by police has not only impacted him, but it also impacted his children, who saw it all happen.
He described the Pinellas Park Police officers actions as "brutal." He said they showed "no compassion."
"All I remember is laying in water, being electrocuted for saving my home," said Jensen.

And if they didn't try to protect him from himself somebody would complain.

The police did right.this man would've have entered his house on fire become overcome by smoke and probly would've died.Wichita would have made firefighters go in to search for him risking their lives.I know everyone is going to say that's their jobs....however firefighters approach situations differently. A victim trapped is a main focus compared to no one inside can put resources to the attack of the fire expeditiously. This man lost his cool thinking about his house instead of his own safety yet alone the safety of police and firefighters. Remember folks nothing is worth going in for once your out. However I will say if your child is in there still and is an only child that is one thing.....but I hate to say if you got more than one child and one is in...let the pros do their jobs.no sense in your kids losing a sibling plus a parent.I know its hard and all the fire dept haters will have a field day on this but its the truth.

he wasn't trying to go inside. he was outside fighting the fire on his roof. as anyone would do. cops just had their feelings hurt because they were ignored.

they should have been on the street looking for fire trucks and monitoring traffic instead of trespassing.

114 is correct still.the cops had no idea how much damage had already been done.what if there had been so much damage already there was a structural collapse of some sort and that man was killed.then everyone would scream the cops should've made him stand clear.either way that man was wrong.and if that man called the fire dept then the cops werent tresspassing .matter of fact even if he didn't call the f.d. the cops can still go onto the property during a fire.especially a house fire.the cops aren't always the bad guys.sometimes people are just that stupid.

He call fd not PD. people are just that stupid.

lot of what if's. they had no reason to tase him. they tased him improperly, not even following their own rules. and yet you applaud them?

THAT is why no charges are filed against him, because the COPS WERE WRONG.

people are just that stupid.
YES, you are correct.
