Troopers Investigating An Attempted Robbery, Rehoboth Beach


Location:  Merrill Lynch Brokerage, 19535 Camelot Drive (Parking Lot), Rehoboth Beach, DE
 
Date of Occurrence:   Wednesday October 3, 2012 at approximately 8:00 p.m.
 
Victim:
  • 32 year old female
 
Suspect(s): 
  • White male, 20 – 25 years old, 5’09” – 5’10”, 150 – 160 lbs., wearing a white tank top and jeans.  Clean shaved head.  Armed with a knife.

Rehoboth Beach, DE- The Delaware State Police are currently investigating an attempted robbery of a female victim in the parking lot of the Merrill Lynch Brokerage off Camelot Drive.
 
The incident occurred at approximately 8:00 p.m. last night as a 32 year old female had just used the ATM at the Merrill Lynch Brokerage to make a deposit.  As the female had returned to her car, she was approached from behind by a white male who was displaying a knife.  The suspect demanded the victim’s money and the victim turned over her empty wallet.  When the suspect noticed there was no money in the wallet, he and another male suspect fled westbound behind the Merrill Lynch building.  The victim was not injured in this incident.
