Some Roads Just Can't Be Crossed

A month has now passed and the streets and driveways in Wicomico County seem to be much cleaner without the weekly giveaway newspaper. Delmarva Crossroads started dismantling the once hopeful newspaper headquarters by taking down their signage on the awnings.

In recent discussions with some who seem to be in the know, the paper was simply under capitalized and didn't stand a chance.

I tried making contact with Mr. Robinson when I had heard they were in trouble. There was a brief thought of publishing a weekly Salisbury News. While I had set up a meeting with John, he never showed up. I can't say as I blame him but I hated to see him throw away an alleged $100,000.00 investment, as I was told.

The idea and timing was good but the people he hired was his downfall.

He told me he wasn't able to find anyone to write articles. He was begging for help. It's a shame. I knew of a few who would of helped him out but they wouldn't be caught dead working with that lowlife from the DT's. Shame he picked the wrong person to hire in the beginning.

I wish Nanticoke Road was not littered with the Daily Times Mid Week publication on Wednesday's. What a waste of resources - both paper and the plastic bag it comes in. That paper holds absolutely no value and the news is way outdated. It amounts to littering in my book!

Bring back the Salisbury Advertizer. Was always better with local news than Daily times. Joe could do it and make it work.It went out during the Tilghman administration.. It reported like Salisbury News does now
