Early Voting Canceled in Maryland on Monday Due To Approach of Hurricane Sandy

REISTERSTOWN, Md. — Gov. Martin O’Malley says early voting on Monday in Maryland has been canceled due to the approach of Hurricane Sandy.
The governor made the announcement during a news conference Sunday at the Maryland Emergency Management Agency.
Maryland residents began voting early on Saturday, and residents were able to vote on Sunday as well.

I have a problem with this. Voting is an indoor sport, and power outages are planned for. If folks want to stand out in the rain to vote, they can. The whole Civic Center is a shelter! The line could be inside! WTF? I'm not understanding this concept, except if it's just plain out and out voter suppression! I have to be in Balto later in the week for testimony, and a voter judge out of precinct on election day. WHEN WILL I GET TO VOTE?
