Really? What kind of stupid question is this? Of course I feel safer today than 9/11/01. Nobody is ACTIVELY crashing jumbo jets into buildings today like they were 11 years ago...

Yes, I feel safer. What do the above commenters mean by their answers?

Our actions in the middle east have helped extreamists to recrute the next generation of terrorist. Every time our drones strike an innocent civilian, we make terrorists out of that victims family and friends, just as we would react to a violent occupation of our own country.
Any small bit of security that we have managed to build has come at the loss of our own rights, and has put us at an even greater risk of economic failure. What happens when no one is left to lend us money for this? We will be too broke to defend ourselves from the enemies we have created over the last 11 years.

No, I'll never feel totally safe in this crazy world. All you have to do is watch the news everyday and you know better.

No

No, I fear our own government as much as I fear muslim extremism.

Yes,because I/we live a respectable distance from DC.I don't know how we can expect to conduct strikes/attacks all over the Middle east and not expect return strikes.I've never been with the random big US city attack theory because our strikes on them are not random.DC is where all of the big decisions are made and therefore the most logical target.

I do not feel safer , however , I'm not afraid. We are a spoiled nation and it is a given that the worse is yet to come.
Those of you who have been in war and know what freedom is can appreciate what I'm talking about.
Obama has kissed up to the very people who murdered our Americans on that day.
My friends and brothers in battle had their limbs blown from their bodies and some were killed. Do you understand that this is why you have a free country?
I cry as I write this because most will never understand and some won't care. Wake up America , 38th infantry , 2nd division , reconn.
1966-1968.

No. The chances of me getting hit by a muslim terrorist are near zil.

Now I fear going to the airport, and letting somebody touch my stuff and getting a peepshow with a body scanner. I fear their silly little drink checks will somehow adulterate my beverage.

I fear the domestic military drills. Blackhawks flying around Minneapolis. The National Guard going around New Orleans confiscating guns and keeping them.

I fear TSA checkpoints being set up in Tennessee and elsewhere. WHen is a several million dollar body scanner going to prevent anything? IF not never, it's pretty darn close.

I fear that the government is purchasing 1.4 BILLION rounds of ammo. That's 10x any other order for a year. It's enough for 4-5 bullets per person in this country!

I fear that our Veterans are being targeted as potential terrorists. Protesting is now considered terrorism. Your affiliation with a political group can be considered grounds to take away your child.

I fear the poltical system is broken. It doesn't matter which side you vote for, the government follows the same path. Why is that?

I fear that all of these un-constitutional executive orders concentrate too much power in the hands of a few. And I fear that neither Congress nor the states care to address the problem. Heck - now if the President wants to call me a terrorist, I can be killed within the US by a drone based on the NDAA. This is without formal charges or a fair, impartial trial of my peers.

I fear that as poor a governor as Martin O'Malley is, he's being rewarded with a place on the national stage. The state takes a lot more money out of my pocket and my business' pocket every year, but our state isn't any better for it.

I fear that the repeal of Glass Stegel is going to bankrupt our country. Well, really we're already bankrupt. SO I guess I shouldn't fear that so much.

Thanks for letting me get all this off my chest.
