O’Malley Says He’ll Ponder Political Future After November

CHARLOTTE — Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley said Thursday that he and his wife will start to focus on his political future after the November election — but added that they are in no great hurry to figure out his plans.

O’Malley (D), who is widely assumed to be eyeing a 2016 bid for president, has kept a jam-packed schedule at the Democratic National Convention. That has included appearances at numerous state delegation breakfasts — he hit Florida and South Carolina on Thursday — and a convention speech Tuesday that got tepid reviews.

“I’m focused on one thing and one thing only right now, and that is doing what’s best for my own state, which means reelecting Barack Obama president of the United States,” O’Malley told the Post’s Mary Jordan in an interview. “After we reelect the president, then Katie and I will try to figure out what’s next for us.”

Omalley can "ponder" untill he is blue in the face but politically he is done..... as in finshed.
I'm sure a few MD democrats will continue to support him by making up excuses and coming up with lies to back his lies but to the national democratic machine he is persona non grata. In their minds he can not be trusted to say the right thing, afterall in a rare moment of truthfulness he agreed with the GOP.

O'Malley's term is up in 2 years. Plenty of time to go for a presidential bid in 2016.

As for wanting Obama back in, MD is heavily dependent on the existence of federal jobs, and the tax money those workers bring to the state.

Without the feds, MD would be in a very poor position indeed.

Reducing the federal workforce would reveal how weak the economy really is in MD, and how bad O'Malley's policies and agenda are.

Even his beloved Wash Post and the Baltimore Sun have turned on him and are critical of his DNC speech. Any other time they would have been swooning over how great his speech was no matter it's delivery and content. Not this time.

Pleeeze Lord, Ley me live long enough to see OweBama get SLAUGHTERED and to vote against O'Malley Three times. (Maybe four if the early voting instituted by the DUMBOCRATS will allow me to do so.)

I only wish that in order to run for an office, you had to resign from the one you currently hold. THAT would stop a lot of these idiots. They have nothing to lose knowing that they can go back to doing what they were doing before they took a shot at it......probably nothing.
