More Lift Station Updates

More than 100,000 gallons of RAW sewage did find its way into the Wicomico River. The City is warning everyone to not fish or swim in the River at this time. I don't care who you are, as I stated earlier today, Salisbury's leadership MUST work on the City's infrastructure and at least maintain vital equipment. This lift station has had issues for several years now. Enough Is Enough!

This is exactly one of the reasons people should vote Albero for Salisbury's next Mayor.

This is the 6th time that raw sewage has been released into the Wicomico River. I wholeheartedly agree - enough is enough.

I encourage all Salisbury residents to vote Joe Albero for Mayor.

Signed

It looks like the police raises just went down in brown! That money should just about cover the EPA fines.

And they just increased the flush tax on all the septic tank owners??

It's the municipalities and their central sewage facilities that are polluting the bay, and this is prima-facia evidence of it!

Leave the private land owners and their septic tank systems alone!

Beezer, Thank You! Daddio, Amen Brother!

Look, things are out of control and who's kidding whom here! I have no problem being perfectly clear by saying Salisbury is in deep trouble. Putting tiny bandaids on major problems, (like infrastructure) is NOT going to fix things.

I think each and every one of you know I will do everything in my powers to introduce ideas to HELP make serious financial changes in Salisbury WITHOUT raising taxes but reality is reality. IF the Council is not willing to turn the Zoo over to the Zoo Commission and relieve the taxpayers of $1,400,000.00 a year, we may have to look at raising taxes.

Barrie Tilghman and Jim Ireton have screwed the taxpayers so deeply I just don't know how else to fix the problems the City has.

THINK hard about how old our systems are. Something has to be done but ignoring it is causing health issues and quite frankly serious shame. We MUST somehow encourage new businesses to Salisbury, seriously. We have to have someone willing to think out of the box and quite frankly I'm the only one willing to do so.

We NEED to get rid of some Department Heads, it's NOT working. One of the ONLY Press Conferences I'm interested in is one in which I have been advised by ALL Department Heads as to what ALL of the City's current problems are. Once I know, YOU will know. Together we will face them head on and make steps to finally fix our major challenges.

Look, at least I'm honest.

Looks like the city has everyone available still working.. at several locations between Riverside Drive and Fitzwater Street. No major rain event to hide behind this time

Bunky Luffman

Yesterday I was pulled off of my job at the water plant to aid with the wastewater emergency in Salisbury. You'll read & see a lot about it over the next few days, but please bare in mind several dozen committed public works employees were/are working literally in poop to correct a situation that they did not create. Often people just criticize things like this, but I hope this status update encourages you to pause and consider the little guys (and girls)... Believe me, washing fecal matter off of your skin at the end of a 14 shift is not fun.

Just proves how Ireton is just another Turd in the punchbowl

THIS IS ECO-TERRORISM. Why aren't people being arrested?

How can and why would Jim Ireton and the City Council hire know convict like Ray Lewis, owner of A.S.A.P. to haul anything with tax payer funding. A full investigation should be done on this and someone should be held accountable.

Here is one of your previous stories.

Tuesday, February 19, 2008More Information on the Theft of Goods from Wicomico County
The following are more details relating to the theft of various goods from the Taxpayers of Wicomico County which were relayed to me by Joe Albero. Joe is currently out at A.S.A.P. Septic Service on Forest Grove Rd.

Pursuant to a 12 month investigation by the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office and the Wicomico County Bureau of Investigation, Sheriff Mike Lewis conducted a traffic stop at approximately 9:00 p.m. on 2/18/08 on a box truck which was travelling west on Rt. 50, west of Shorebirds Stadium in Parsonsburg, MD. The truck was subsequently searched and found to contain approx. 500 gals. of diesel fuel, tires, and misc. stolen truck parts.

A short time later, two search warrants were executed. One at the business address of Ray Lewis Construction and A.S.A.P. Septic Service on Forest Grove Rd. in Parsonsburg, MD, and the other at the office of Wicomico County Public Works in Salisbury.

The search of the Forest Grove Rd. premises revealed two large warehouse sized buildings filled from floor to ceiling with large containers of diesel fuel, tires, and truck parts which apparently belong to Wicomico County. It is believed that these items were intended for distribution in and around Maryland and Delaware.

Ray Lewis has been arrested. Three employees of Wicomico County are being questioned and it has been said that they are cooperating fully with police. Future arrests may involve some employees of the businesses owned by Ray Lewis.

Wicomico County is currently working on assembling a fleet of dump trucks to retrieve and transport the stolen items so that they can be stored on County property.

There will be a press conference at 3:00 p.m. today which, I understand, will clearly show the magnitude of the crime involved here.

More information to come as the case unfolds.

But its only the chicken farms that pollute the bay!!!

You may want to add a "0" to that 100,000 gals...that thing overflowed at least 20 hrs.

And still no explanation from any dept. head?

I see a vision of that Indian guy, with a tear in his eye

Like to see ireton there working with his sleeves rolled up and some crap all over him lol

I didn't think this city could get any worse than under the Tilghman administration, it's at best neck and neck.

The submarine race has been converted into a turd race contest! I picked a strong floater named Jimmy

So is the City of Salisbury going to get a fine for polluting the river, like Perdue got? I highly doubt it.

Yeah, that is hard to swollen watching A.S.A.P. making money anywhere in this town for his past record with his cronies at the County Landfill...It totally disgusts me as it has since the first day I heard about it....They stole taxpayers money and that is me....why are we giving him more money and opportunity?
