FREE SPEECH THAT MOCKS ISLAM IS NATIONAL SECURITY THREAT FOR U.S., PROMINENT NJ IMAM TELLS THEBLAZE

There are religions that promote turning the other cheek even when mocked, but it appears Islam is not one of them. According to one of the most prominent imams in North America, Islam never condones violence, but it also, under no uncertain terms, “everaccepts” speaking ill of the Prophet Muhammad.
In fact, so grave is mockery of the prophet considered, that the cleric – Mohammad Qatanani, who leads one of the largest mosques in New Jersey – even believes free speech that criticizes Islam poses a national security threat to the U.S. and that those responsible should be investigated by the Department of Homeland Security.

Lock this guy up long enough to organize his deportation.

"Islam never condones violence"??
He lie's like Obama!!
Since when is speaking truthfully considered speaking ill??

America does not need his voice or opinion in our political discourse.
Clearly the time is coming to make a stand against this kind of Anti-American sentiment in our own backyard.
Prosecute the Marxists and the radical islamists like this guy for sedition and "excommunicate" them.
No free speech for you twisted Imam.

Take America back!

get over yourself imam. go back to your country of origin and leave ours alone. we really don't care what you believe and we don't want you here with your sick ideas and ways. good bye and don't let the door hit you in the rear.

in all reality; our government should deport you tomorrow.

Hey, Imom, the prophet Muhammad sounds a lot like a good excuse for Muslim violence and hate, so I'll denounce him to your face. You are not here to be an American; you seem to be here to place your foreign values on us and those of us who choose to be a free people. Butt out and go home to your hate filled country. You don't respect our values anyway. Oh, and go with God's blessing!

As a country, we need to get back to the unity, nationalism, pride, desire to overcome, and willingness to open a major can of whoop-ass like we did on December
8th 1941. Those that attacked or could potentially attack our sovereignty were rounded up and held until it was determined they were not an actual threat (at all or any longer).

Remember Pearl Harbor!
Remember 9/11!

The US used to be called the "melting pot." People blended in and embraced our ways.
Now it's become a chamber pot and we are expect to toss out our principles in exchange for "embracing" other cultures, and inclusion and other liberal buzz words.

So this guy wants to remain in the U.S. after failing to disclose a prior conviction for aiding Hamas on a Green Card application (just the type we want in this country). The U.S. tries to deport him, and what does the peaceful Imam do(what is an Imam anyway, and what does one do?) He uses the American judicial system to sue both the FBI & Homeland Security (his right under our laws), but refuses to acknowledge that as Americans we have free speech (our right under our Constitution!) & Muhammad is not off-limits whether he or his minions agree with it or not!

Hey Qatanani - this is America. If you want to practice your peaceful religion i say practice all you want. But also be aware that we have free speech in this Country. May i suggest a place such as Antarctica for you to practice, or better yet, why don't you just go back home??? You don't want to live there either, do you...

It is time to declare what Islam is. It is not a religion. It is a cult.

Just a note to the iman...you might as well get use to "real" Americans freedom of speech, because it will not go away...no matter what. "Us" patriots will not retreat from you or anybody that accepts your BS. This is our country...like it or leave it.

Only the Muslims. How many times has the christian fath been attacked by free speech. How many times have Jesus's works and teaching been made light of. Do you see Christians burning buildings down or violently protesting to the point where people are being killed. Oh please, keep making excuses for these Neanderthals.

Be on guard...all the buzz words are being used (like "national security threat"). Watch for a big push to against free speech from various angles. This is just one angle. Another one would be the President signing a law that prohibits protests at military funerals.

Free speech means folks are going to say stuff we don't agree with and may even find offensive. Those of us who understand this and can deal with being offended in a mature way need to stand up and protect our values.

11:24,

You are almost right. Free speech does include speech that we find anti-American, offensive and hateful. We wouldn't need the constitution to guarantee free speech if everybody said agreeable things.

But there SHOULD be a law banning protests at any funeral, period. That's not free speech; that's harassment! The maggots at Westboro Baptist Church have every constitutional right to gather in peaceful protest and spout their treasonous, vile poison. ("God hates America, Thank God for every dead American soldier cause they are all faggots, etc. etc.") They have absolutely NO right to harass grieving families at funerals. In our town, they wanted to protest in front of the church door during the funeral of a fallen 21 y/o Marine. The were granted a permit to protest but had to stay a thousand feet away from the church and grieving families of our fallen Marines. You think the constitution gives the right to harass families at the direct site of a funeral? I think George Washington and the framers of the constitution would have hung them on the spot.
