Millsboro, DE- The Delaware State Police Sussex County Drug Unit has arrested a Selbyville woman after the culmination of a several month long drug investigation.
On Wednesday August 8, 2012, the Sussex County Drug Unit, with the assistance of the Sussex County Governor’s Task Force and Selbyville Police Department, arrested Kara N. Hagy during a traffic stop on US113 near Millsboro. Hagy was found to be in possession of over 120 bags of suspected heroin weighing approximately 3.2 grams, as well as .3 grams of marijuana and numerous hypodermic needles.
Detectives then executed a search warrant as a result of an investigation into the illegal sale of heroin at her residence on Clendaniel Avenue in Selbyville. During the execution of the search warrant, detectives located more drug paraphernalia located in a bedroom where her 18 month old son sleeps.
Hagy was transported back to Troop 4 where she was arrested on the above listed charges. She was arraigned at JP3 and committed to Delores J. Baylor Women’s Correctional Institution on $31,800.00 cash bond.
