Just like there’s always room for dessert in an otherwise full
stomach, there’s always room for free money in an otherwise finished
budget.
But, interestingly enough, this particular fiscal digestif is
intended to help one combat the effects of one’s desserts. A recent set
of budget amendments before the Ocean City Council revealed that the
town has been given a grant for the current fiscal year through the
Maryland Department of Natural Resources for the construction of an
outdoor exercise facility at Northside Park.
City Parks and Recreation Department head Tom Shuster said he is
excited to get the work done as soon as possible on a project that will
help keep Ocean City residents and visitors outside and active in the
coming off-season.

and the DNR bitched about funds at the start of the year, raised our boat registration fees, complain about lack of officers in the field, being spread thin, etc
THEN GIVES MONEY AWAY....
Now I know why taxes are so much higher in Maryland.
