Nope - passed that event some time ago. Now, with still rising unemployment, plummeting home prices, significant and rampant loss of individual net worth, we have been led into another depression. Unfortunately, even if Obama is defeated this fall, it's going to take a lot of time and pain to undo the disaster he has created.
Yes and it is getting worse I just lost a job I had for 18 years. The company went under and now I do not know what I am going to do. You can only cut back expenses as much as you can but the money will never come back. Sweating to see if me and my husband survive.
We livin high on Food Stamps, Wic programs, unemployment checks, free housing, free electric, water, and gas bills paid for, have a new cell phone and my car insurance paid for...I ain't sweating here!
be chillin, i know this is meant "tongue in cheek", but what the government gives it will take back in a heartbeat. not good. become independent asap. no more government freebies (they're not freebies because i pay for them).
I think it has been a depression since 2008. Heard both Airpax and Egide in Cambridge are permanently closing in August. I think job outsourcing and in sourcing from foreign countries like Mexico have contributed to this depression. Government policy and trade agreements have destroyed this country and the middle class that was the backbone of the economy.
This is neither a recession or depression, thou these are bi-products from it....we are experiencing a well thought out plan, one that will purposely destroy our Country. By destroying its life blood, our economy, sending all possible jobs to other countries and robbing trillions from us with the other hand, a self imposed bankruptcy. They want no one to be self existent and when every thing is in play they will flip the switch, and everyone {90%} dependent on gov handouts will suddenly be without.... they will claim the only way to survive is to let the UN take over, bailout....for the price of our Constitution and Sovereignty....our Liberty and Freedom.
This is what is known as the "new normal." I have lived here my whole life and I am noticing things that I have never seen before. Never before have I noticed Giant foods have empty shelves with little signs instead of the product. I checked WalMart for water glasses that I have purchased there several times and they are no longer carrying the brand. Kohls and Macys have winter clothes from last season on racks in the store to taking up floor space. It sure looks like a bargain basement stores of my youth. You really don't notice but things are changing and are not returning to normal. This is the NEW NORMAL.

sadly,in my opinion, the worst is yet to come.
I still feel a recession and like 11:05....the worst is yet to come if we don't get Obama out!
Agreed,,, no longer a recession, but now a depression.
There are a few more big banks yet to fail, I too, fear the worst is yet to come.
Calling it a double dip ressession just sounds better than depression

obammie just said we are heading in the right direction!! I am not suppose to question him!
No, I feel like it is definitely a Depression. I took off my rose colored glasses a long time ago.

None of the underlying issues have been solved since 2008.
Yes - and soon a depression. But don't tell that to all the demos and libs - they think everything is just fine and wonderful! NOBAMA in 2012!
Its a depression. If it was'nt for all the government spending,it would be worse.
It's a depression but the media refuses to call it that.
