That violates the fire code.
Not a new idea. My great-aunt in Toddville (Dorchester County) had an arrangement like this at least 50 years ago. Several of her neighbors had the same.
Why does it violate the fire code? How does it present a hazard? My folks used to have a closet under their staircase. This probably holds the same amount of stuff, but easier to get to it, nothing gets buried.
Looks like a great idea making use of wasted space.
1:09, I don't think anyone said it was a "new" idea but it is a "great" idea and that it is!!!
One less place for the kids to hide.
