2. Amanda M. Moore, 22, Salisbury, MD

Narrative: On 9 April 2012
a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into the theft of blank checks and their subsequent forgery and cashing at Salisbury area businesses.

Investigation revealed that the complainant discovered over $400 in unauthorized checks had been cashed which led the deputy to investigate at the establishments where the checks were presented. Upon review of surveillance videos, the pair responsible for presenting the forged checks was identified as two coworkers of the victim, Suzane Taylor and Amanda Moore.

The deputy obtained warrants for the arrest of Taylor and Moore and they were both arrested and transported to the Central Booking Unit, Taylor on 24 May and Moore on 31 May. Upon their initial appearances, the Commissioner detained Taylor in the Detention Center in lieu of $10,000.00 bond while releasing Moore on Personal Recognizance.
