Location: 1700 block of Riverside Drive, Salisbury, MD
Suspect: Matthew M. Goldman, 25, Derwood, MD
Narrative: On 11 May 2012 at 1:54 AM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported motor vehicle collision in the 1700 block of Riverside Drive. Upon arrival, the deputy observed a Toyota Corolla had left the roadway and damaged shrubbery and grass in a residential yard. The deputy identified the operator of the Toyota as Matthew Goldman of Derwood, MD. While speaking with Goldman, the deputy suspected that Goldman was under the influence of alcohol. After the administration of sobriety testing, the deputy placed Goldman under arrest for DUI.
During processing Goldman decline the opportunity to take a breath test.
The deputy released Goldman upon the issuance of citations.

Suspect: Seth W. Benson, 21, Delmar, DE
Narrative: On 10 April 2012 at 11:03 PM, a deputy from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported motor vehicle collision on Williams Mill Pond Road. Upon arrival, the deputy observed a red Chevrolet Cavalier that had collided with a tree along with three men standing in the vicinity. The deputy identified one of the three, Seth Benson, as the driver and detected an odor of alcohol emanating from his breath. Based on the deputy’s observations, the deputy believed that Benson was
behind the wheel while under the influence of alcohol. After the administration of sobriety testing, the deputy placed Benson under arrest.
During processing, Benson declined the opportunity to take a breath test.
The deputy transported Benson to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, the Commissioner detained Benson in the Detention Center in lieu of $10,000.00 bond.
