Let me make this very clear. There was NO gun/hand gun found at Bennett High School.
There was a clear plastic BB gun found in Bennett Middle School today and that student involved has been reprimanded.
I know the text messages are going crazy about a gun at the High School and that just isn't true.

The Code of Conduct does not allow for possession of a BB gun to be punished by a reprimand. A reprimand is a next to nothing verbal warning.
It actually happened on Monday and involved two students. My child is on the after school stars bus and one of the kids was showing off the bb gun on the bus. The other child was showing it off in the after school program. That means he had the gun the entire day in school, scary.
Both children got a three day suspension.
WOW! Three whole days for having a BB gun in school. No excuse for kids that age not knowing that's a huge offense. Should have been five days.
