I would say Rt 13 and Main Street in Salisbury. It looks like the old movie theatre on the left.

There is actually not only traffic, but business at that time downtown. What happened?

Oh yeah, Barrie Tighlman, Mike Dunn, Lynn Cathcart, Bubba and Shanie. The Salisbury, Killers.

it was interesting to ride down the plaza recently and remember - "that's where Hess Apparrel was, and RE Powell and Benjamins and Woolworth and Reads and Central Drugs and Watson smokehouse and the old Ulman Theatre and White & Leonard"
all gone to urban sprawl - it's happened all across America- Salisbury is not the only place

This picture was taken by one of the old hobo up on the railroad track on his cellphone in 1958. not much has changed except the hobo kept the place cleaner back then.

3:26 I beg to differ...
I very seriously doubt the cars are 70's vintage. Look closely. More like early 50's.

And a WHOLE LOT busier and SAFER than today.

But sadly, that is true for a lot of cities. Society has declined. Or should I say, the standards of society have declined.

12:57 is correct (BBT)before Barrie Tilghman

Bet you wouldn't walk far down there after dark now.

I would say 50's as well. Opportunity Shop one block over to the left and up a bit, and then on the crossing street would be the pool hall, which probably had a name other than "The Pool Hall."

If i remember correctly, there were two filling stations across the street from each other on each corner.

Notice that there are NO TRAFFIC LIGHTS there!

This was waaay before 1980, folks.

The car in the foreground is a VW "bug" -- could that be Bob Lawrence driving?

You probably just can't see them. I don't see a stop sign either.
