ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Gov. Martin O'Malley defended his use of the taxpayer-owned skybox at M&T Bank Stadium, joking about his family's use of the box and acknowledging the skybox is a perk. His reaction comes a day after the WBAL-TV 11 News I-Team obtained the guest list full of political allies, donors, family and friends.
At the big home-opener last season -- when the Baltimore Ravens took on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sept. 11 -- it paid to be an O'Malley as 15 of 24 tickets were given to the governor's family, all at no cost.
"Yeah, there were a lot of O'Malleys in for the Steelers game, I will confess, Jayne," O'Malley told WBAL-TV 11 News I-Team lead investigative reporter Jayne Miller on Friday.
