Herman Cain

Are you aware of Herman Cain’s resume? Here are some facts you need to know:

Herman Cain is running for president. He’s not a career politician (in fact he has never held political office). He’s known as a pizza guy, but there’s a lot more to him. He’s also a computer guy, a banker guy, and a rocket scientist guy.

Here’s his bio:
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics.
Master’s degree in Computer Science.
Mathematician for the Navy, where he worked on missile ballistics (making him a rocket scientist).
Computer systems analyst for Coca-Cola.
VP of Corporate Data Systems and Services for Pillsbury (this is the top of the ladder in the computer world, being in charge of information systems for a major corporation).

All achieved before reaching the age of 35.

Since he reached the top of the information systems world, he changed careers!

Business Manager. Took charge of Pillsbury’s 400 Burger King restaurants in the Philadelphia area, which were the company’s poorest performers in the country. Spent the first nine months learning the business from the ground up, cooking hamburger and yes, cleaning toilets. After three years he had turned them into the company’s best performers.

Godfather’s Pizza CEO. Was asked by Pillsbury to take charge of their Godfather’s Pizza chain (which was on the verge of bankruptcy). He made it profitable in 14 months.
In 1988 he led a buyout of the Godfather’s Pizza chain from Pillsbury. He was now the owner of a restaurant chain. Again he reached the top of the ladder of another industry.

He was also chairman of the National Restaurant Association during this time. This is a group that interacts with government on behalf of the restaurant industry, and it gave him political experience from the non-politician side.

Having reached the top of a second industry, he changed careers again!

Adviser to the Federal Reserve System. Herman Cain went to work for the Federal Reserve Banking System advising them on how monetary policy changes would affect American businesses. Chairman of the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank. He worked his way up to the chairmanship of a regional Federal Reserve bank. This is only one step below the chairmanship of the entire Federal Reserve System (the top banking position in the country). This position allowed him to see how monetary policy is made from the inside, and understand the political forces that impact the monetary system.

After reaching the top of the banking industry, he changed careers for a fourth time!

Writer and public speaker. He then started to write and speak on leadership. His books include Speak as a Leader, CEO of Self, Leadership is Common Sense, and They Think You’re Stupid.

Radio Host. Around 2007—after a remarkable 40 year career—he started hosting a radio show on WSB in Atlanta (the largest talk radio station in the country).

He did all this starting from rock bottom (his father was a chauffeur and his mother was a maid). When you add up his accomplishments in his life—including reaching the top of three unrelated industries: information systems, business management, and banking—Herman Cain may have the most impressive resume of anyone that has run for the presidency in the last half century.

Just because he doesn't have political experience doesn't mean a thing. That's what we need to do is give the axe to the political games and get down to business.

Ron Paul as VP to focus on demolishing the FED.

i am a democract but I would vote for him if he won the republican nomination.

Too bad he's black.

Herman Cain has my vote!

Cain really looks worth a try compared to everyone else who is running for either party. My main concern with him is that a 9% federal sales tax could drastically reduce consumer spending and deal a death blow to an economy that's already on life support.

I do like him as a candidate. I am worried that he has no foreign relations experience, but if he chooses a running mate that has what he lacks, he has my vote.

What we've been doing isn't working. I'm not concerned about the 9-9-9, just because he gets elected doesn't mean that will be the final plan.

Lots of serious things to hash over before passing anything. He's a do'er not a talker and believe he'll do a much better job hands on than Bush and Obama have done.

Can you really see Bush or Obama flipping burgers, making pizzas or actually scubbing a toilet to get to the top? I can't, be funny to see though.

Maybe Cain can hire Bush to scrub White House toilets. Lord knows he won't write many books, he doesn't know that many words.

But he does away with all the payroll taxes -- saving 15.3% (13.3% if you extend the payroll tax cuts).

I'd rather pay 9% than 15% any day.

Would the 9% be on top of the already 6% in state sales tax?

History is repeating itself. Recent history is deceitful imaging. I say this because Cain leads you to believe he created and made GODFATHER'S PIZZA. He did not. He bought the franchise after he reorganized the business and made it profitable. Not when it was in the RED.
Past history repeating itself. Was there not a 7-7-7 tax plan initiated when this Country was first created. I believe it was Thomas Jefferson, but I might be wrong. The 9-9-9 plan is a replica of this 7-7-7 plan.
Look what it has done to our Tax structure. There where no restrictions in Tax increases and look what we got now.
I have always stated History repeats itself.
Where are the History buffs or the Teachers that need all their benefits that they so-call earn. They are the ones that should be telling us how History is repeating itself.
So much for the "poor" Teachers earning their money and benefits.

220: I think foxnews.com ran an article about that very topic. DE and 3 other states that don't have sales tax no problem. The highest state sales tax states included TN and CA which were combined ~18%. Definitely an eyebrow raiser.

Nope 9% and that's it fair for everybody.

Yes, the 9% federal sales tax would be in addition to whatever state taxes are in effect. But like 1:15 says, just because Cain proposes that, it certainly wouldn't be automatic if he is elected. He just seems to have more business & money sense than anyone we've seen for a while. Right now, our debt and high unemployment is a bigger threat than any foreign enemy. I guess it's on record, but I want to research Cain's stand on illegal aliens. If we forced 50 million ILLEGALS out of OUR nation and the jobs they are stealing went to legal citizens, the unemployment rate would have to drop significantly. It will be interesting to see if Cain would stand up to the rich Americans who, since slavery has been taken away from them, want the ILLEGALS here as the next best source of cheap labor, no matter how much their illegal, traitorous hiring of these ILLEGALS hurts the rest of America. I'm also interested in his stand on the traitorous trade agreements of the last 15 years that have sent 80% of our good manufacturing jobs overseas. We know Obama promised to reverse them but lied and forgot his promise once elected! We know most other Republicans & Democrats are traitors who have been bought and paid for by the corporations who want their manufacturing bases in cheap labor markets, no matter that it destroyed the once powerful American economy. All the numbers show that as most of America is being economically destroyed, the wealthiest 5% is getting exponentially richer! How long will the raped 95% continue tolerating this obscenity?

Well he has done enough to certainly convince me.

I sent him a political contribution several weeks ago and I'm going to send him some more money early next week.

And all of you heaped this amount of praise on Michelle Bachmann, them Rick Perry, and were ready to do the same with Chris Christie

If a Democrat with no political experience were to run, you would say that was the worst thing ever. A Repubican has no political experience = no problem!! Learn on the job is you have to Herman.

Start the clock. The next flash in the pan you guys will slobber over is coming soon.

And why is it you ignore Jon Huntsman?

8:19, so what you're saying is cain could be worse then obama? think again! a life spent in the political arena is what has made this mess we are in. They have no clue how to generate anything other then cash for themselves and their families, and bs for the rest of us!
Huntsman was an ambassador for obama. just more of the same!

All "political experience" equates to is learning how to lie with a staightface, make up excuses and filibustering instead of giving a straight answer to a hard question.
Businessmen like Herman Cain get things done or they are gone. Shareholders and directors of companies don't want to hear excuses. If you don't produce you are gone.

He is a very high level freemason or he would have never been involved with the Federal Reserve Bank.

He is a part of the problem. He is controlled opposition.

Get away from him.

Herman Cain is exactly what this country needs to get us out of the mess we are in!! He had hard working parents who taught him that he could be anyone he wanted to be if he would work hard. Obama does not have a CLUE!!

Is this the same guy that was boasting about "if you are poor it is your fault." "If you are unemployed it is your fault."? I know a lot of people that are currently unemployed or under employed do to lay-offs and business closures and that wasn't their fault. I know people that have risen well above where they came from but are struggling daily to earn a salary to support themselves and their families. There are people that do not attempt to excel in life but there are others who are trying but not gaining any head way.

Just like everything in life no one can group all of one into a category because every circumstance is different.

I can't imagine anyone of more presidential qualities than
Herman Cain.
