I hope not we cannot afford another tax increase.

Ahem! Excuse me but Obama has not presented anything to Congress to pass (Right Away I might add). He gave a speech and expressed ideas. He even went as far to state that it would pay for itself through some means he would explain in a few weeks.

It was nothing more than a campaign speech with which he asked for $500M.

With the heavily Republican House and all the questions they have raised about his "newest job plan, I doubt that it will get through Congress.

Congress doesn't pass or vote on speeches.
There is no plan from Obama, just talk.

Hmmmm This sounds familiar. Just like OBAMACARE, you know, you have to pass it to find out what's in there! Hell no! Just say no!

12:58 last I checked, none of us saw a tax increase in the first place.

What Bill? I heard a speech. There is nothing written for us or Congress to read. What bill? Obama, go back and listen to a few episodes of "Schoolhouse Rock" and sing along with me, "I'm just a Bill, here on Capitol Hill..."

2:54 Obama-care is a huge tax on the American people also every time they talk about raising taxes on the rich it's a tax on us. Take a look around at what you're taxed now and tell me were not an over taxed people.

3:32 AMEN to that statement!

THE GREAT PLAN OF NOTHING!

Seniors should note that the tax Obama spoke about giving a break on is the payroll tax that funds Social Security. He doesn't want to give a break on any taxes that fund Government's many pet projects.

Another Lie! Obama - Sorry Folks, I am the BIGGEST LIAR ON EARTH! I don't care about you or this Country! All, I care about is being the 1st President to fly on Air Force 1 more times than any other Presidents at your expense! My family and I are loving all of our vacations - that you are paying for!!!!!
Is it 2012 yet?!
God, I hope and pray America wakes up and does not VOTE this a-hole in! Although, I did not vote for him the 1st time!!!!!

Has anybody else noticed - he NEVER looks at the camera when he speaks?! He has a big L on his forehead - LOSER!!!!!!!!!!

Lets hope not. Just another bail out for his pets, the unions. None of his super size spending has made any difference so far. We need to get him out of there before he bankrupts the country.

I hope something gets passed. I don't think anyone can deny that our infrastructure needs repair/improvement and that there are trained (and trainable) people collecting unemployment who could do it.

5:35, You're nibbling at the bait. There is more to our economy than "roads & bridges". All trades need to come up together. We all do not need to become road and bridge builders. C'mon, THINK!

5:35PM: Something or Anything is a desperate wish. Four years to wait on some upside is a long time. Four more years is even longer. Infrastructure is nonsense if you can't afford to use it. How many of use got to use the new guardrails that were installed in Route 50 last year? How many American workers were used to do the installation. How many Americans actually work in the infrastructure business and can get a paying job there? There are many more industries than roads and bridges with high unemployment.

I personally don't want Obama to lose in 2012. I want to see him defeated in overwhelming numbers.

I don't think this congress can achieve anything, pass anything, or help anybody. They (and I MEAN everyone of them) are a bunch of self motivated, get myself re-elected, and line my pocket with money UNAMERICANS. I intend to vote against every single one that is running for another term. We need term limits, if not by legislation then thur the ballot box. Join me and send a message, that if you will not do the work of your countrymen, then you are one and done!

There are already mechanisms in place to deal with infrastructure maintenance and repair. All they have to do is stop raiding the transportation trust funds and let the gas taxes pay for the necessary expenses.

You don't need any more acts of congress to do that.

As far as legislating "jobs" you don't need acts of congress to create jobs, unless it is to remove already imposed gov't obstructions to private industry.

Creating so-called gov't "jobs" only drags down the economy further. We already have ample evidence of this from the massive stimulus spending of recent months.

First we have to undo Obama's messes and then we can afford to fix our infrastructure.

I hope they pass Obama's bill. But I am sure the republicans will continue to act like children and fight anything he tries to pass. I wonder why they do this until I remember that their main goal is to make him a 1 term president. With that said, why would they pass anything that is going to make him look good. If they really want to make him look bad and become a 1 term president why not let him pass this bill so "everyone" can complain how bad it is?
The problem is not our president, the problem is the actions of the republican party. They are not what they once were. The have turned it into a religious fanatical party that is unable to get a real candidate to run. The republicans currently running are for the most part crazy!
I have not always been pleased with Obama but if the republicans cant grow up and get a candidate that is not crazy then who else can we vote for.
The independent voters control the election and will not elect one of these republicans running, especially a Tea Partier!

10:04 the farther you move to the left the louder you are about how the Republican party are zealots. You are bi polar screaming how erratic everyone else is when it's you who need medication.

The "Tea Party" will not back down. Please remember that we are AGAINST new taxes. We have no issues with those that wish to pay MORE taxes. Have a ball!
