Maryland Energy Assistance Payments To Decline Next Year

Payments that help low-income Marylanders cover their electric bills will decrease next year, according to the operating plan for the state's Electric Universal Service program. The cuts are the result of declining revenues and increased demand for help, according to the plan proposed by state officials.

If they would actually give help to only those who need it everything would be fine. But no, good old government has to pay the electric bill of someone living in a nice apartment costing close to a thousand dollars a month but not help the person who is living is a pile of crap and honestly needs help. So frustrating.
