I never ceases to amaze me how he makes makes himself look like a fool. I am sure he has handlers who tell him what the protocol should be for such an event, but he is so arrogant that he thought he knew what he was doing.

Thanks, 3:01, for cluing me in. Maybe I should have listened three times, as the sound is not too good on my computer. You're right, one does not toast the queen during the playing of "God Save the Queen." I thought that all Presidents have aides who are experts on such things. I know that the White House has a person who is "Chief of Protocol." Well, the toast itself was OK, and the Queen didn't look as if were not amused. (Maybe she was smiling at Obama).
Thats why Obama picked Biden for V.P. they both are idiots they complement each other.
The least he could have done is to memorize the speech. He looked like a fool having to keep looking down at his notes.

Im no expert however one does not talk during the playing of a nation anthem. When you make a toast to the Queen its usually just that and not a speech. If you notice when he raised he glass and said "to her mastery the queen" The band started to play.
