Northrop Grumman to cut 500 jobs |
Northrop Grumman Corp. said Tuesday that it is cutting about 500 jobs in the Baltimore region — through buyouts and 70 layoffs — as a result of defense spending slowdowns and international economic pressures. The jobs are primarily engineering and manufacturing in the electronic systems sector, headquartered in Linthicum.

The LM layoffs aren't PG or MoCo loses but rather Baltimore Countly at the old Aircraft Plant in Middle River. All Superfresh stores in are for sale except for the 2 left in Ocean City. If they are not sold, they will simply close. Super Fresh is essentially moving out of MD like many other firms.
Overheard that Perdue just cut 30 IT positions....what about our county?
More to come at Perdue; someone gots to pay for Obama's Solar Project.
