Howard County Council Approves School Zone Cameras

ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (AP) - The Howard County Council has voted to allow speed cameras in school zones.

The vote was taken Monday night after the council's lone opponent offered 13 amendments designed to limit the bill. County executive Ken Ulman has projected revenues of $1.2 million in his budget proposal that is now before the council. However, the program is expected to cost just under $1 million.

Maybe they should consider selling cold beer. Since their offices are regarded as Federal property, they could offer it without any State taxes.

Most people would rather go to a beer store than a Post Office anyway.
