An increase in Maryland's gas tax could be a quick fix for the state's depleted transportation fund, key members of a blue-ribbon financing commission said Friday, while cautioning that the move — a tough sell on its own — would not solve long-term woes.

who voted for these morons?
All of the Western Shore, especially Baltimore COunty, PG COunty and Montgomery thats who votes the straight Dem ticket.. The Eastern Shore needs to become a separate state.
8:15...Collectively - we did...because not enough of us voted for the other guy - and didn't get more of our friends/relatives to vote for the other guy.
Time to start buying my gas on the other side of the state-line...right next to the liqour store.....
huh, Just when you hear it all I understand Obama now wants an AIR tax for your tires to be filled up.
flatulence tax???
People in Maryland need to demand to see where the past gas taxes money has gone because I don't see where it's going to keep up the roads!
Seems to me every time they state this tax goes for ________, down the road, there's not money in _________.
More government LIES!
I don't live in Maryland anymore, thank goodness!
Aren't gas prices high enough??? No more taxes. It's insane.
Fuel prices affect everything, transportation to work, food prices being shipped by trucks, airline ticket prices and turn, people stop traveling, resturanmts lose business, hotel and resort see a reduction is vacationers, and so on and so.... when will this all end, tax increases, no COLA's or raises, high unemployment, more people living on the street, no jobs, higher health insurance cost etc.
