Top U.S. packaged coffee maker J.M. Smucker (SJM: 77.46, +0.55, +0.72%) announced on Tuesday that it increased the list price of a majority of its coffee products sold in the U.S. for the fourth time this year.
The Orville, Ohio-based manufacturer of Folgers, Gourmet Selections and Millstone coffees, as well as licenser of Dunkin’ Donuts packaged coffees, said the prices will increase an average of 11%, its largest hike in a year.

I don't drink coffee so this one item does not directly affect me. But such news DOES have a negative effect on the economy, and indirectly affects me and everyone else.
If you are spending more money on coffee, then you have less to spend on other things, including what my business offers. Thus the indirect effect.
The hyperinflation is beginning to kick in. The evidence is all around us.
The feds have been printing money they don't have backing for, making the dollar worth less on the world markets. Quantitative easing is further eroding the value of our currency. The results are beginning to show: More inflation and higher costs for anything and everything.
